Who is FRFS Technology Automation Engineer?

The FRFS Technology Automation Engineer (3rd Shift) is a key member of the FRFS Technology Automation team, which is responsible for providing automation solutions for the Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) business lines.

The team supports the automation of various processes, such as data collection, validation, analysis, reporting, and monitoring. The team also develops and maintains automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.

Responsibilities

As a FRFS Technology Automation Engineer (3rd Shift), you will be expected to perform the following tasks:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions using various technologies, such as Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, Jenkins, Git, etc.
  • Collaborate with business partners, stakeholders, and other technology teams to understand the automation requirements and provide effective solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues and defects in a timely manner
  • Document and communicate the automation results and status to the relevant parties
  • Provide automation support and guidance to other team members and users
  • Research and evaluate new automation technologies and trends
  • Work on the third shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM CST) and be available for on-call support as needed

Qualifications

To be eligible for the FRFS Technology Automation Engineer (3rd Shift) position, you should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least three years of experience in developing and implementing automation solutions using Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar technologies
  • Experience in using Jenkins, Git, or similar tools for automation orchestration and version control
  • Experience in working with databases, web services, APIs, and XML
  • Experience in testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Experience in working in an agile environment and using agile tools, such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Reserve System and its business functions
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
